Metro Color Collision is a curatorial group that seeks to bring together really talented people who are often overlooked and disregarded by bigger galleries and contemporary art centers because of New York City's increasingly market driven predisposition. While artists fill our city in abundance, ambition and persistence are often overshadowed by big bad commercialism that gives the lesser-known guys a minimal chance to display their talents. We do not accept that at MCC so our duty is to bring these artists together and give their efforts the chance to thrive. Our current exhibition space is unrefined but our perceptive palette most certainly is not. Each exhibition is self-developed through the collaboration of our curators and our artists; we do not impose any structural or preconceived aesthetic ideals or limitations on our space or our audience.

The versatility of materials, themes and images is the artists' decision; as curators, a constant search of new creative energies remains our ongoing goal. We choose not to succumb to the stringent constraints and demarcations of genre applied so extensively and haphazardly in the contemporary sphere in favor of an open-minded yet well structured approach to multifarious and engaging exhibitions. Instead, we just want everyone to enjoy the work we represent and be an outlet for creative energy.

And Oprah says passion is "the key to finding your life through love and service." What do you enjoy so much that you'd do it for free? That's your passion. May you find it soon, and may it serve you well.
